When custom work becomes a product

GudiSystem originated in Nellia's work with Hotel Villa Lobos · Spa Romantik. What that path teaches about building around an operation.

The process comes first

Software built around an operation starts with people, requests and concrete constraints. GudiSystem originated in Nellia's work with Hotel Villa Lobos · Spa Romantik. That relationship gives the work its context. The current availability of each module and its fit for another hotel should be checked in a demonstration.

What can be reused

A solution has product potential when it addresses a recurring problem and can be adapted with clear responsibilities. Work specific to a client needs to be separated from what can form a shared foundation. A hotel's data, brand and commercial information still need their own safeguards.

What needs agreement

Licensing, maintenance, support and any commercial participation depend on the contract. If the work may become a product, those rights need to be discussed and recorded. A product's origin does not automatically determine the terms of a new project.

How to assess it for your business

Bring a process that currently involves rework and an authorised example of how it runs. The first conversation helps assess the problem, integrations and delivery path. A workflow demonstration can support that decision; customer results, testimonials and metrics require specific evidence and permission.
